Imovie HD Sucks and I want my old Imovie on my new mac.

Once again we had a windstorm throughout the night and the furnace's pilot light has blown out. I awoke to a freezing house. I re-lit the pilot light and and it took four hours to get the room temp above 65 degrees. It is still windy outside. It is still cold.
I have spent all morning trying to find Apple's Imovie 6 but they have taken down the application. I hooked my old emac to my macbook via firewire and opened the old mac in Target Mode. I dragged Imovie 6 to my new mac and all seemed well...
That is, it seemed well until I began importing footage from my dvcam. There I noticed right away that my clips were all choppy and the audio makes a crackling noise. This just isn't going to work. I believe the cause is that my old mac runs on powerPC and new mac is intel based. When I bought my macbook, it had ImovieHD 8 installed already. I hate it. I do not even know where to begin on why I hate it. Apple just revamped Imovie HD and released Imovie9. Apple says it addresses the complaints and issues of Imovie8, but the word on the super highway is that "9" just isn't that much better and not any easier. In fact, one person wrote about Imovie9-"God help you if you smoke the reefer cause you can kiss your productivity goodbye". According to all the mac forums and newsgroups on the subject; mac users all over the world want their beloved Imovie6 back. For awhile Apple had "6" available for download but now it is gone. It's gone, unless I want to pay for the Ilife 06 Package. If anyone out there has Imovie6 on Intel based mac and wants to send me a copy.....I would be ever so thankful.

And another thing about my mac life...
The built in monitor on my emac has gone kaput. It doesn't work more than it does work. This is the reason the macbook was purchased this past fall. The hard drive still works great on my old emac, I just can't see anything. Ok simple enough, Just go get a new monitor. But no, I have to get a special vga to mini vga adapter. You would think that BestBuy would carry it right next to their monitors but they don't. If I could get a monitor and adapter, then I could still use my old emac for my movie editing. Today has really been a waste of time. I wasn't feeling any better when I went to Denny's this afternoon and had to listen to "glory of love" on their internal radio station while consuming some french toast.. Today just hasn't been my day.
